Mike Ferrio re-jigged his previous line-up of Tandy following the passing of friend and fellow musician Drew Glackin to form Good Luck Mountain. This new project is now well under way with a fantastic record under his belt, we caught up with Mike for a Dirty Dozen.
Tell us about yourselves and what you do?
My name is Mike Ferrio. I write songs and sing them for people whenever I can. I had a band called Tandy for ten years. My good friend Drew Glackin sang and played guitar, lap steel, mandolin and in Tandy.
How did you get together?
After Drew died I got together a cast of old musician friends of his and mine to make a record in memory of him.
What is your current release?
The new band/project is called Good Luck Mountain.
What is the best part of being in a band/singer/song writer?
I think the best thing about being a singer songwriter is finding out what you really believe. It's also the most difficult thing because you have to turn yourself inside out to do it.

It's always the one I'm working on now. The newest one.

Bad Blood by Ana Egge.
What does the next six months have in store for you?
Working, writing, dreaming, playing music and turning myself inside out.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I want to still be making music. If I am alive and still making music ten years from now I will be very grateful and happy indeed!
