• Amos Glick is an actor/songwriter from the Bay area in San Francisco. He is currently performing as a clown in Le Reve at the Wynn Hotel, Las Vegas. Ahem……

• It would be easy to dismiss this as a vanity project, destined for the shelves of friends, relations and the odd charity shop, but that would be to deny its undeniable charm. Liner notes suggest that this is a collection of songs written over the past 25 years, so we must not hold our breath for any follow up anytime soon.  but, if Amos starts to feel that his fellow clowns are picking on him more often than anyone else to wear the exploding trousers with fitted genital cuff then ‘A Little Bit Sane’ indicates that he is a passable song writer and vocalist but a very good arranger.

  Each song has a particular style all gravitating towards the West Coast sound – harmonies aplenty and some fizzing electric guitar noodling. 'Overrated' is typical. Some ironic self referential lyrics, a Newman-esque piano refrain and a great guitar sound. 'Homegrown', same title as Neil - not quite as good a song but still catchy and eminently hummable. And so it goes on as Amos aims high and doesn't miss by much. If the arse drops out of clowning he could make a reasonable living from music. He is patently far better at than many of the current X factor wannabes. Good work but don't give up the day job ....yet!
