Band of Horses To Work on Fourth Album After Tour

but no title or release date yet - is this actually a story?

Have a good weekend basking in the warmth of the Indian summer - cue "oooh, it's too hot isn't it?" complaints on buses.  Pitchfork reports: "In a recent interview with Apes on Tape, Band of Horses guitarist Tyler Ramsey explained that the band will be recording their fourth full-length album once a stretch of touring ends this fall (no title or release date were discussed). "It's full on for the next record," he said. "We're really trying to get it solidified and get it done." Ramsey also spoke about the band opening for the ill-fated Kings of Leon tour, calling it "really frustrating and quite maddening.""

Tweedy Talks About "The Whole Love" and More

including maybe a Yankee Hotel Foxtrot reissue

Billboard reports (well, interviews):"There's something about Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy that suggests that, generally speaking, he does what he pleases. In recent years, this includes starting Wilco's own record label (dBpm) and music festival (Solid Sound), and oddly enough, covering the Black Eyed Peas. One day he's giving major labels their just due ("I wouldn't be who I am without a major label, I really wouldn't," he tells us) while swiftly bashing the sort of rock writers who have long championed his band's signature style of alt-rock meets Americana."

A star studded celebration of the days when folk bought sheet music (in their millions) 'The Beautiful Old Turn Of The Century Songs' is a project curated by Paul Marstellar and Gabriel Rhodes. A year in the making this pair have persuaded a host of luminaries to join them in this festival of old time music hall favourites which range from 1823 to 1918. Using instruments that would have been available at the time of the originals they have crafted a delightful homage that will, depending on the age of the listener, revive memories of family sing-along's and the BBC light programme or intrigue at the sound of contemporary artists delving into this cornucopia of antique delights.
