is a truly brilliant read. as a fan, it's an illuminating but it occurred to me, ironically, that those who don't like him or have never "got" him, would really benefit form reading it. i appreciate that would be hard, to read a book all about someone you dislike or leaves you cold, whatever, but you'd certainly understand him and his music more and, I think, you might even start to like it.

Good review in a recent edition of Big Issue, if anyone's interested. Saw him in Glasgow earlier this year and he was truly magnificent.
