You mean you're never going to another gig again?
I know they're good but .....

They were decidedly good at the Garage last week as well, although The Avett Brothers at Koko is currently the front-runner for gig of 2010

Kate Rusby - Saturday 25th, at St Albans.

Good, but not as good as Josh Ritter, The Barbican Thursday 23rd

Gig of the year ? Not sure - either Midlake, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Renbourn & Williamson, Giant Sand ,CSN, Dr John or March of Dimes. Whybirds at Rhythms of the World was pretty good too.

But the year is not over yet, so still hoping for something else good.

Just saw I Am Arrows last Thursday at the 100 Club - Tom Smith from The Editors was a surprise guest and sang a song. Was an excellent gig.

I saw Leadfinger on Friday. My favourite local band, they play a mix of originals + some Steve Earle, GP, Replacements, etc... covers.

Out on the arm of young Monty, I was at Phosphorescent in Copenhagen last Monday.

A glorious night of 70's styled glam-power pop (Free Energy) and punk rock frenzy (Titus Andronicus) in the sweltering suana of a church basement.

And come this Friday, it will be the long awaited return of Jason and The Scorchers.

I saw the Felice Brothers a couple of weeks back as part of the Camfire Trails series of gigs at the Troxy, London.

The sound wasn't great where I was standing with the Felice's only occassionally reaching the heights I was expecting but I still love 'em.
I only used 'Country Danny' as all other Danny variations seem to be in use, I'm regretting it now...

Deer Tick last night @ Manchester Deaf Institute -wow they rocked!

A different animal than on record - John J. McCauley III has the potential to go over the edge

Caitlin Rose was support which was an added bonus.

Frankly it's a good job Tim Robbins can make a living acting.
Had some amazing people in his band though. Brian Eno's brother, another who is in Tom Waits's band.
