Proper men singing proper men songs? What's a proper man then? Is there a stereotype proper man?

Mark Lanegan was at the Neon Tetra Records garden party along with Isobel Campbell and Jim McCulloch last summer. He was very quiet. Polite too but quiet like a mouse....Jim McCulloch wrote two of the songs on the new Campell and Lanegan album and played all the guitars....he also plays guitar on my new album.....he's a superb musician and songwriter...and person.

Non-vegetarian. Listens to country music. Doesn't cry. Drinks whiskey. Preferably from Manchester. Will that do?

I don't know, would the world not be a better place if Noel ripped off Hank Williams rather than Lennon and McCartney?

This thread sent me back to WFTHG. Beautiful.

And they're playing here (well, Copenhagen) on 14 April, I see. Calling Monty!
