The Summer Wardrobe "The Summer Wardrobe" (Rainbow Quartz 2007)

Sand blasted six string seranades

The Summer Wardrobe is an album that would please the 'guitar nerd' in anyone. Harrisonesque chords and licks play against great pedal steel on opening track 'Ned Kelly'. Also present are elements of The Byrds and effect laden guitar production a la My Bloody Valentine.

Clocking in at 10 minutes 31 'Outcry In The Barrio' is not for the faint hearted, but if your thing is Zephrys like, desert sand covers of 'Albatross' then this is the track for you. 'All The Lovers I Have Wronged' is a Mercury Rev like track which features guitars crashing down like waves to then calm into a gentle swell while Jon Sanchez sings '...this city is full of lovers I have wronged'.

Throughout the whole album the soul soothing pedal steel never strays far from sublime. 'Underground' begins with Guiness ad drums while driving bass introduces 'Daisy Cutter', another song clocking in at over 9 minutes.
